LGYT Summer 2012 Camps

This camp will develop acting, singing, and dancing skills, while working on a production for family and friends. Students will participate in daily workshops in the three disciplines of musical theatre: acting, dance, and voice, as well as participate in games and activities. A performance will be held to showcase their skills at the end of the session. Camp runs from 9am-3pm daily.
2 Separate Sessions:
Session 1: June 11-22, Monday – Friday
Session 2: July 2-13, Monday – Friday (no class July 4)

Prelude Production - Aladdin, Kids
6-8 yrs. (entering grade 1-3)
Performances July 19-22

Reprise Production - Honk Jr.
9-11 yrs. (entering grade 4-6)
Performances July 26-29

Encore Production - The Wiz
12-15 yrs. (entering grade 7-10)
Performances July 13-15 & 20-22

Registration for all programs is conducted by Los Gatos-Saratoga Recreation. Visit their website at www.lgsrecreation.org to register. Registration is available after Jan. 18.

• Everyone registered will be cast!
• Auditions will be held May 5-12 for Honk Jr. & The Wiz. Auditions for Aladdin Kids will take place at the first rehearsals.
• Rehearsals begin May 21 (exact days TBD, but generally 2-4 days per week).
• Weekday rehearsals are from 5:30-8:30pm, Saturday rehearsals are mid-day.
• Participants typically attend 2-4 rehearsals per week, depending on role.
